• What Cafe Cop Does?

Cafe Cafe can get rid of the following tasks for you :

• Maintaining records, as in login & logout time of all the users.
• Preventing unauthorized access.
• Ensuring system security.

• Giving flexibility to use any terminal to perform administrative tasks.

• Does Cafe Cop interfere with the internet connection?

No, not at all. Cafe Cop is designed and developed in such a way that it uses minimum system resources doesn't interfere with the internet connection.

• Does Cafe Cop increase network traffic?

Cafe Cop hardly puts any load on the network.

• Is it possible to block websites with Cafe Cop?

Yes, with the new version of Cafe Cop it it possible to block any number of websites as well as keywords on the client PC.

• Does Cafe Cop effect system performance?

Cafe Cop does not effect system performance, it infact helps in maintaining system performance.

• Are Cafe Cop records secured?

Cafe Cop records are completely secured and only be opened or viewed with Cafe Cop administrative login. Cafe Cop database is encrypted and password protected.

• Are system changes made through Cafe Cop reversible?

All changes made through Cafe Cop are completely reversible and the original preferences can be retained.

• What happens if the Cafe Cop server system is shutdown?

Cafe Cop server application does not allow any user to shut the server system down, unless and until Cafe cop server is closed. Incase the server system is manually shut down, the users already logged into Cafe Cop are not affected. Cafe Cop clients log out normally. But no new logins through Cafe Cop client will occur until Cafe Cop server is started again.

• What happens if Cafe Cop client hangs or shuts down?

If a Cafe Cop client terminal hangs or is abnormally shut down, you still don't loose the surfing information of the user. As soon as Cafe Cop client starts again and the initial screen comes, it shows the surfing information of the user. This information can also be seen on the Cafe Cop Administrative Control Panel.

• Is it possible to make changes to Cafe Cop reports?

No, it is not possible to make any change to Cafe Cop reports.

• Does Cafe Cop interfere with users privacy?

Cafe Cop ensures safety to users privacy and does not record any activities done by the user. Cafe Cop Administrator however has the option to control access privileges of the terminals.

• What happens in case of  power failure?

In case of a power failure, whenever the terminals are turned on again, Cafe Cop server recollects all the records from the client terminals.

• Why does a member get the message "User already logged in"?

A member gets this message only in two circumstances :

• If the same user id is use on the network i.e. someone is already logged in using the same id & password.
• If the session was terminated abnormally. (possible causes: system getting hanged (crash) or power failure). Please check help file for details on this error.

• How to exit Cafe Cop server?

To exit Cafe Cop server, double click on the icon present in the system tray of the terminal running Cafe Cop Server. Use administrator password to open the server administrator panel. Click the Shutdown server option.

• Is it possible for a user to close Cafe Cop Timer?

No it is possible for a user to close Cafe Cop Timer. The only way to terminate Cafe Cop Client is through administrator control panel.

• What is Cafe Cop Server Name?

Cafe Cop Server name corresponds to the network name of the computer on which you have installed Cafe Cop Server.

• How do I find Cafe Cop Server Name?

To see the network name of Cafe Cop server computer follow the steps below:

On win ME/XP/2k

1. Right click on the my computer icon present on your desktop & select properties.
2. Click on the computer name.
3. The name inside computer description box refers to the network name of the computer.

On Win 98

1. Right click on the network neighborhood icon present on the desktop & select properties.
2. click on the identification option.
3. The name inside computer name box refers to the network name of the computer.

Once you know the network name of the cafe cop server computer, all you have to do is run client on any of your networked computer type the network name of the cafe cop server computer. Once typed correctly it will launch cafe cop client's initial screen.

You can also refer to the How Do I? section of the help file which can be accessed from the help menu in cafe cop server.

• How Do I receive my full version serial key for Cafe Cop?

Once your order has been processed you will be provided with a link to download the full version of Cafe Cop. After downloading the full version proceed with the installation. On Cafe Cop Server first run, you will be required to register your copy of Cafe Cop online. Registration enables us to generate a custom serial key for you. On successful registration your serial key will be emailed to you within next 24hrs. Please note that you need to be connected to the internet for successful registration. Yes Cafe Cop works seamlessly with any DHCP or Static network environment. Since it does not rely on normal TCP/IP communication it is the easiest in its class to setup. All you need is the server name or the IP address of the computer on which you have installed Cafe Cop Server.

• Does Cafe Cop requires Static IP addressing?

No it does not, Cafe Cop works seamlessly with any DHCP or Static network environment.
